We value industrial equipment and lots against what the market is actually paying, not against a depreciation table. No cost, no obligation.
The question we get most is always the same: “I have this machine sitting idle, what is it worth?”. And it almost always comes with a deadline attached: a plant closing, a line being replaced, an insolvency, a partner leaving. In those situations the risk is not selling cheap, it is not knowing what cheap means.
MAKINTER values industrial equipment and lots based on what is genuinely being paid today for comparable machines, not on what they cost new or on what a depreciation schedule says.
A machine's book value and its market value need not resemble each other at all. Fully depreciated equipment can be worth tens of thousands if there is demand, and recent equipment can be worth little if its technology has fallen out of use or if nobody buys it in your region.
What actually drives the price:
That last point is the most underestimated. Two machines in identical condition can be worth very different amounts simply because one has ten buyers waiting and the other has none.
What we produce is a commercial market valuation: how much to ask, how much to accept, and whether selling is worth it at all. It is the figure you negotiate with.
It is not a certified appraisal for accounting, tax or court purposes. If that specific document is what you need, it has to be signed by an accredited appraiser, and we will tell you so openly rather than sell you something else.
The nameplate, the hour meter reading if it has one, general and close-up photos, whatever you know about the maintenance, and the location. The more you provide, the tighter the range we can give you. We can also value on little information, but the range widens, and that works against you in a negotiation.
An indicative valuation is free and does not commit you to selling through us. If you then decide we should market the equipment, commission is charged only when the deal closes. The terms are in our FAQ.
Send us the machine's details through sell an asset, or write to us directly from contact. If you are still deciding, our buying guide sets out the criteria we use, and the transport guide gives you the other number you need.
This valuation is indicative and commercial in nature. It does not constitute a certified appraisal or accounting, tax or legal advice, and it does not guarantee a sale price.
