An independent broker of industrial assets, with a person behind it.
MAKINTER is an international broker of industrial assets. We connect companies that own machinery or equipment they no longer use with qualified buyers across Europe and international markets. We do not buy the machine, we do not store it and we do not transport it: we document it, present it to the people who might want it and stay with the deal until it closes. We get paid when the sale closes, not before.
MAKINTER was born out of a scene that repeats itself in almost every industrial plant: a good machine, parked in a corner, under a tarpaulin. Nobody has used it for two years. Everyone knows it should be sold. Nobody has the time to do it.
I founded MAKINTER because that problem is not a lack of demand. There are buyers for almost anything that is properly documented. The problem is that selling industrial equipment outside your own country takes decent technical photographs, a listing in several languages, knowing who buys that kind of machine, replying quickly to people in another time zone, and seeing through a process that can take months. A plant manager has a factory to run. That is not their job.
That is exactly what we do, and all we do. I work in Spanish, English and French, with sellers in Spain and buyers spread across Europe, Morocco and beyond. The day-to-day is looking at equipment, asking uncomfortable questions about its real condition, pricing it with judgement and calling the people who can actually buy it.
I would rather turn an asset down than list it badly. A catalogue full of confusing listings sells nothing and burns the trust of buyers, which is the only thing an intermediary really has.
We prefer to be explicit about the limits, because in this industry ambiguity ends up costing somebody money. MAKINTER is not a manufacturer, a carrier, a freight forwarder, a customs agent, a certification body or a surveyor. We do not issue declarations of conformity and we do not certify the condition of equipment.
The technical information we publish comes from the owner of the equipment and from the documentation and inspection available. The buyer must verify condition, suitability and regulatory compliance at destination before committing to the purchase, and we help arrange that verification with independent technicians when the asset warrants it.
If you have idle equipment, the most useful thing you can do is tell us what it is and where it is. Within one to two business days you will have an initial market opinion, with no obligation and no cost.
If you are a buyer and you cannot find what you need in the inventory, tell us: sourcing it through our network is part of the job.
